PDF tools

Merge, split, shrink, sign and lock PDFs without uploading them to anyone.

A PDF is usually in your way for one specific reason. It is too big to email. It is three files that should be one. It has a page you need to pull out, or a password you need to add before you send it. The tools here each fix one of those, and you can chain a few together for a bigger job.

They all run in your browser. Your document stays on your computer, which matters more for a signed contract or a bank statement than for most files. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no server holding a copy after you are done.

Which tool for which job

Merge
Combine several PDFs, or a mix of PDFs and images, into one file in the order you choose.
Compress
Get a PDF under an email or upload limit, usually by shrinking the images inside it.
Extract pages
Pull out the two pages you actually need and leave the other forty behind.
Protect and Unlock
Add a password before you send, or remove one you already know from a file you own.
Sign
Draw or type a signature and fill a form without printing and scanning.
PDF to image
Turn pages into JPG or PNG for a slide, a preview, or a site that will not take a PDF.

Questions about the PDF tools

Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF tools run in your browser, so the file is processed on your device and never reaches a server. That is the point for anything with personal or financial details in it.
Does "protect" actually encrypt the file?
Yes. The protect tool adds real password encryption to the PDF, so it cannot be opened without the password. The unlock tool only removes a password from a file you can already open.
How small can compress make it?
It depends on what is inside. A scan full of images can drop a lot; a text-only PDF is already small and will not shrink much. The tool shows the new size so you know before you download.
Is there a page or file limit?
No account limit. Because the work is local, the ceiling is your device memory, which is generous for normal documents.
