Markdown to Rich Text

Paste the Markdown from an AI chat and copy it as formatted text. It pastes into Google Docs, Gmail, Word and Notion with the headings, lists and bold intact.

Formatted preview

This is what gets pasted into your document.

AI assistants write in Markdown. You get back neat headings, bold text, bullet lists and tables, all marked up with asterisks and hashes. Paste that straight into a document and the formatting is gone, replaced by the raw symbols. So you end up reformatting by hand.

This tool bridges the gap. Paste the Markdown, see it rendered, and copy it as rich text. When you paste into your document the structure comes with it. Nothing is uploaded, the text stays in your browser, and any stray HTML in the input is shown as plain text rather than run.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your Markdown

Copy the reply from ChatGPT, Claude or any Markdown source and paste it into the box.

  2. 2

    Check the preview

The rendered version shows exactly how the headings, lists, links and tables will look.

  3. 3

    Copy formatted

Click Copy formatted, then paste into Google Docs, Gmail, Word or Notion with the formatting kept.

Questions about the converter

Where can I paste the result?
Anywhere that accepts rich text: Google Docs, Gmail, Outlook, Word, Notion and most editors. The formatting comes across because the tool copies both a formatted and a plain version.
Which Markdown does it support?
Headings, bold and italic, ordered and bulleted lists, links, images, inline and block code, blockquotes, tables, and horizontal rules. That covers what AI chats produce.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. Your last text is kept on this device so it is there when you return.
Why did some formatting not carry over?
A few apps strip certain styles on paste. If a table or code block does not land right, use Copy HTML and paste that into an editor that accepts HTML.
