Instagram crops carousel images to fit and hides the end of your caption behind a more link, so a post can look different once it is live. This tool previews all of that from your own images before you publish.

Add your images, pick a portrait, square or landscape ratio, and page through the carousel the way a viewer would swipe it. It also shows how the first image sits in your profile grid and where your caption gets truncated. The images stay on your device the whole time.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add your images

Drop in up to ten photos. They are read straight from your device, not uploaded.

  2. 2

    Choose a ratio

Preview in portrait 4:5, square 1:1 or landscape 1.91:1 to match how you plan to post.

  3. 3

    Check the details

Swipe through the carousel, see the grid thumbnail, and preview where the caption truncates.

Questions about the carousel preview

Does this download anything from Instagram?
No. It only previews images you add yourself. It does not connect to Instagram or fetch anyone’s posts.
What image ratio is best for an Instagram carousel?
Portrait 4:5 takes up the most feed space and is a common choice. Square 1:1 keeps every slide consistent. Preview both here and pick what suits your images.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your images stay in your browser on your device and are cleared when you close the tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why does my caption show a more link?
Instagram truncates captions after roughly the first line and hides the rest behind a more link. The preview shows where that cut falls, so you can front-load what matters.
