Screen Recorder

Record your whole screen, a single window or one browser tab, and save the video. Nothing is uploaded.

Runs in your browser · nothing uploaded

Nothing leaves your device. The recording stays local and you download it yourself.

A quick recording explains a bug, a workflow or a piece of feedback far faster than typing it out. This recorder captures your screen, a window or a tab, with your microphone if you want narration, and hands you a video file at the end.

The recording happens in your browser and the file is created on your own machine, so it is never uploaded to a server. You choose what to share when you start, and the video downloads straight to your device when you stop.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose what to record

Pick your entire screen, a specific window, or a single browser tab when your browser asks.

  2. 2

Add your mic if you want

Turn on the microphone to narrate, or leave it off for a silent capture.

  3. 3

    Stop and save

Press stop and the recording downloads to your device as a video file, ready to share or edit.

Questions about the screen recorder

Is my recording uploaded?
No. The video is captured and saved on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so private screens stay private.
Which browsers work best?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a desktop work well. Support on Safari and on phones is more limited because screen capture is desktop-focused.
Can I record just one tab?
Yes. When you start, your browser lets you choose the whole screen, a window, or a single tab.
What format is the file?
A standard web video file that plays in browsers and common players, and imports into most editors.
