Frequently asked questions
- Why enter my own prices?
- Lumber and hardware prices swing by region and over time, and we are not selling you anything. Plug in your supplier’s prices and the estimate reflects your real cost rather than a markup.
- Does this include labour?
- No. This is a materials estimate. If you are hiring out the work, add the contractor’s labour quote on top.
- How reliable is the cost total?
- It is only as accurate as the prices you enter, and it covers materials, not labour. Lumber and hardware prices move week to week, so use your supplier’s current quote and add a labour bid separately if you are hiring the work out.
