Frequently asked questions
- How do stacked discounts work?
- A second discount applies to the already-reduced price, not the original. So 25% off then 10% off is not 35% off, it works out to about 32.5%, which the calculator shows.
- Does this include sales tax?
- No, it works on the pre-tax price. Use the sales tax calculator to add tax to the final sale price if you need the checkout total.
- How do I calculate a percentage discount?
- Multiply the price by the discount percent as a decimal to get the saving, then subtract it from the price. A 30% discount on $80 saves $24, for a $56 sale price.
