Frequently asked questions

My subtitles are a few seconds off, can I fix that?

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?
Both are plain-text subtitle formats. SRT is the most widely supported by media players, while VTT (WebVTT) is the format web video uses. This editor converts between them in one click.
Can I fix only some lines without retiming everything?
Yes. You can edit the text and timing of individual cues directly, or apply a single shift across the whole file, whichever the situation needs.
