  3. 3

    Copy and paste

When it comes in handy

Emphasis without formatting

Bold a key phrase in a post, comment or message where there is no formatting toolbar.

Headings in bios

Make the first line of a profile read as a heading so the rest feels like a caption.

Standing out in feeds

A bold word in a sea of plain text catches the eye as people scroll.

Instant & 100% private โ€” nothing is uploaded

The styling happens right here in your browser. Your text is never sent to a server, so there is no sign-up, no email wall, and no length cap from us. Load the page once and it keeps working even if you go offline.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the serif and sans bold?
The serif bold has small strokes on the ends of letters and reads as more traditional, while the sans bold is cleaner and more modern. Both are genuinely bold weights, so pick whichever matches the look you are after; the sans version tends to render more reliably across apps.
How can bold text work where there is no bold button?
The letters are not formatted with a bold setting; they are separate Unicode characters drawn bold by design. The plain letter B becomes ๐, which has its own code point in the mathematical alphanumeric block. Because it is a real character rather than a style, it copies and pastes into a bio or comment that would otherwise ignore formatting.
Why does the bold text not work in some places?
A few apps and forms strip styled characters back to plain text, and a small number of older devices cannot display the bold Unicode block. In those cases the text falls back to normal or shows boxes. Pasting a quick sample where you intend to use it tells you straight away.
