Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as a cursive font?
It looks like cursive but it is not a font file. It is a set of script-style Unicode characters, so the letter a becomes ๐“ช and keeps that shape wherever you paste it. The upside is portability, since it needs no download; the trade-off is that a few apps may not render every script letter.
Why do some cursive letters look different?
The script style maps each letter to its closest script glyph, and a handful of letters have a more decorative shape than others. The result still reads as joined-up handwriting, even if individual letters vary a little in flourish.
Will cursive text paste into my Instagram bio?
Yes. Copy the script and paste it into the bio field; because the letters are ordinary characters, Instagram keeps them rather than converting them back to plain text. If a rare letter shows as a box on an older phone, try a different script style or swap that one letter.
