Random Name Picker

Paste a list of names and draw a winner at random, or pull several winners at once with no repeats. A free random name picker for giveaways, prize draws, classrooms and team selection. Fair every time, and entirely in your browser.

When you need to pick a winner from a list, a random name picker takes the arguing out of it. Paste your names, choose how many to draw, and get a fair winner picker result in one click, with no repeats unless you ask for them. It is handy as a giveaway winner picker for Instagram or YouTube comments, a raffle drawer, or a classroom name chooser. Nothing is uploaded, so a long entrant export stays on your own machine.

Frequently asked questions

Can I draw more than one winner at once?
Yes. Set how many names to pull and they are drawn together. By default each name can only win once, so a draw of three gives you three different people, which is what most giveaways and raffles need.
Will it remove duplicate names?
Lines that repeat are treated as separate entries unless you remove them first, because sometimes the same name really is two different people. If one person should have one chance, clean the list so each appears once before you draw.
What are the odds each name gets picked?
With 50 names and a single draw, each name has a 1 in 50 chance, or 2%. Draw 3 winners with no repeats and the first pick is 1 in 50, the second 1 in 49 and the third 1 in 48, since each winner is taken out of the pool before the next.
How many names can I paste in?
There is no limit we set. The draw runs on your own device, so you can paste a long export of thousands of entrants and still get an instant, fair result.
